Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 + super

About the Role
 
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a mix of new build and fit-out projects, with a strong pipeline of education sector work (including capital works projects).
This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects, managing delivery from tender handover through to completion. The position requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to read and understand structural drawings and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end project management across new build, fit-out, and education projects
• Lead project teams including Site Supervisors, Contract Administrators, and subcontractors
• Review, interpret, and manage works against structural drawings and project specifications
• Oversee budgets, programs, and risk management strategies
• Maintain stakeholder relationships with clients, consultants, and authorities
• Ensure compliance with WHS, QA, and building standards
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the required quality

About You

• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
• Background across new builds and fit-out projects (education sector highly regarded)
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings
• Excellent leadership and client liaison skills
• Proven track record of delivering projects in the $5m-$20m range
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or related field preferred
