Supervisor / Estimator
Brisbane or Gold Coast | Insurance Building
$120,000 – $130,000 + Super + Vehicle
 
We are partnering with a well-established national insurance building and restoration company looking to appoint two experienced Building Supervisor / Estimators across South East Queensland.

• One position covering Brisbane
• One position covering the Gold Coast

The business delivers residential insurance repairs, major-loss projects and catastrophe response work across Australia, supported by established systems, experienced coordinators and a strong panel of subcontractors.
This is a combined role suited to someone who understands both the estimating and delivery sides of insurance building. You will assess damaged properties, prepare accurate scopes and estimates, then oversee approved repairs through to completion.
 
The Role
 
You will be responsible for:

• Attending residential properties to assess insurance-related damage
• Preparing detailed scopes of work, reports and repair estimates
• Identifying required trades, materials and repair methodologies
• Reviewing engineering, specialist and restoration reports
• Managing approved repairs from commencement through to completion
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and internal support teams
• Monitoring project costs, variations, timelines and workmanship
• Maintaining regular communication with policyholders, insurers and assessors
• Conducting site inspections and quality-control checks
• Ensuring works comply with building codes, WHS requirements and insurer service standards
• Managing multiple insurance repair jobs across your allocated territory

About You
 
To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience with an insurance builder, restoration company or residential repair contractor
• Experience completing both estimating and site supervision duties
• Strong knowledge of residential building repairs and construction methodology
• The ability to prepare clear scopes, reports and cost estimates
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple active jobs
• Strong customer service and stakeholder-management skills
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
• A current Australian driver’s licence
• Relevant trade qualifications or a QBCC Supervisor Licence will be highly regarded
• Experience using insurance building or job-management software will be advantageous
