The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a respected and growing engineering consultancy in the CBD/ Melbourne.

This position is ideal for a technically capable engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career, with a clear pathway toward Associate level.

You will lead the design and delivery of structural projects, manage client relationships, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the business. The role provides exposure to a diverse range of projects and offers the opportunity to further develop your leadership, commercial and project delivery skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the structural design and delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
  • Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, specifications and documentation.
  • Manage project budgets, programmes and delivery outcomes.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, developers, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Undertake site inspections and provide construction-phase support.
  • Mentor and develop graduate and intermediate engineers.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and industry best practice.
  • Support client relationship management and identify opportunities for business growth.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience within a structural consulting environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structural design and Australian Standards.
  • Proven experience delivering building and development projects from concept through to construction.
  • Experience managing clients, stakeholders and project teams.
  • Proficiency with relevant structural analysis and design software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and a desire to progress into a senior leadership position.

You will need Full working rights and local Australian experience to be considered for this position.
