Our client based in Smeaton Grange is recruiting an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead operations in a Growing Steel Distribution Business. 

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, loaded, and dispatched accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities:
Support the Operations Manager in the daily planning and coordination of warehouse operations
Organise and coordinate daily transport runs and customer deliveries
Oversee the efficient picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders
Ensure trucks are loaded safely, accurately, and in accordance with load requirements
Verify order accuracy and material quantities before dispatch
Supervise warehouse and yard personnel throughout daily operations
Allocate tasks and monitor team productivity and performance
Coordinate incoming and outgoing stock movements
Assist with stock control, inventory accuracy, and cycle counts
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
Ensure all workplace health and safety procedures are followed
Liaise effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, production personnel, and management
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement practical solutions
Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and on-time delivery performance
Provide hands-on assistance across warehouse operations when required

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Leading Hand, or Distribution Supervisor position
Experience within steel distribution, metals, industrial products, manufacturing, or a similar heavy industry environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team Excellent organisational and time management abilities
A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to lead by example
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operational environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
A commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence
Reliable, professional, and dependable work ethic
Effective communication skills across all levels of the business

Highly Desirable:
Current Forklift Licence (LF)
HC Truck Licence
Experience managing steel products, long lengths, plate, or heavy materials
