Our client is looking for an experienced Assistant National HR Manager to drive impactful HR strategies, support senior leadership, and help create a high-performance culture across the business. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a national level while supporting a team that values expertise, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Salary: $90-100k + super
Work type: Full-time, permanent role

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of senior HR management experience
  • Expertise in performance management, industrial relations, workforce planning, and employee relations
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies and policies
  • Deep knowledge of awards, employment legislation, and HR best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities
  • High-level interpersonal skills with a focus on building effective relationships at all levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support business goals
  • Provide guidance and support to senior managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and compliance
  • Drive workforce performance and retention initiatives, ensuring a strong organisational culture
  • Oversee the payroll function to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws and regulations, advising on any changes
  • Lead industrial relations negotiations and consultations with internal stakeholders
  • Manage injury and claims processes, ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations
  • Maintain and develop detailed position descriptions for all roles
  • Address grievances and resolve disputes in a timely and fair manner
  • Conduct wage and salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation strategies
