Salary: $70,000 plus superannuation
Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday, office-based – Eagle Farm 

Start Date: Immediate start available, with the preferred candidate commencing before October
 
POSITION OVERVIEW
 
We are recruiting a Claims Administrator to join an established insurance building and repairs business in Queensland.
 
This is a heavily phone-based position supporting customers through the insurance repair process. You will coordinate claims, maintain accurate records, manage communication between stakeholders and ensure agreed service levels are consistently achieved.
 
The position would suit someone with strong customer service and administration experience who is resilient, empathetic and comfortable speaking with people experiencing difficult circumstances.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
– Manage insurance claims from initial allocation through to completion
– Provide regular updates to insured customers regarding the progress of their claim
– Respond to inbound calls, emails and customer enquiries professionally and empathetically
– Make outbound calls to customers, trades, assessors and other stakeholders
– Coordinate appointments, inspections, assessments and repair activities
– Maintain accurate claim notes, records and supporting documentation
– Update multiple insurance and claims-management systems
– Monitor claim progress against insurer service-level agreements and internal KPIs
– Follow up outstanding reports, quotations, approvals and documentation
– Liaise with supervisors, estimators, project managers, trades and insurance representatives
– Escalate urgent, complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate team member
– Assist with variations, work orders, invoices and general claim administration
– Identify potential delays and take proactive action to keep claims progressing
– Protect confidential customer and claim information
– Provide general administrative support to the wider operations team
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
 
– Previous administration, claims, call-centre or customer service experience
– Excellent phone manner and written communication skills
– Strong empathy and emotional intelligence
– Resilient and comfortable assisting customers in difficult circumstances
– Strong organisational and multitasking ability
– Comfortable working across multiple systems, screens and applications
– Able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
– High attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills
– Able to work within strict service levels and response timeframes
– Confident following up stakeholders and progressing outstanding actions
– Reliable, positive and willing to learn
– Previous insurance, construction or property experience would be beneficial but is not essential
