Assistant Project Manager / Contract Administrator

An established builder/developer with a strong pipeline of Class 2 and Class 3 residential projects is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager / Contract Administrator to join its growing team.

Working closely with experienced Project Managers and senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in delivering apartment developments from pre-construction through to completion, supporting both site and office-based project delivery teams.

This is not a graduate or cadet position. We’re looking for someone who can work autonomously, take ownership of their responsibilities, and has genuine experience delivering residential projects under the current NSW Class 2 building reforms.

The Role Key responsibilities include:

• Contract administration and procurement
• Cost tracking, forecasting and financial reporting
• Consultant and subcontractor coordination
• Program monitoring and project reporting
• Managing compliance documentation and project records
• Stakeholder and authority liaison
• Supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to practical completion

The Projects

• Ground-up Class 2 and Class 3 residential developments
• Multi-level apartment buildings
• Basement construction components
• Projects currently spanning approval, CC and delivery phases
• End-to-end new-build developments

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ construction industry experience
• Recent experience delivering Class 2 and/or Class 3 residential developments in NSW
• At least 2-3 years working under the current NSW Class 2 building reforms
• Experience as a Contract Administrator, Assistant Project Manager or similar
• Strong understanding of compliance, certification and project delivery requirements
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related discipline
• Australian tertiary education preferred
• Basement construction experience
• Exposure to projects from planning and approvals through to completion
