Operations Manager/GM – Commercial Fit Out

The role of the General Manager – Operations is to oversee the entire business from an operations perspective. 2 x Project Managers, 1 x Estimator, 3 x Site managers and the accounts team.

 Key responsibilities and experience

  • Operations Management for NSW projects
  • Commerical construction including fit out industry experience and be able to hit the ground running
  • Comfortable managing and driving the team
  • Strong Excel experience and Ground Plan experience is an advantage
  • Ideally from the commercial fit-out space rather than residential, meaning previous experience with:
    • Office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and education fit-outs – understanding the complexities of fast paced, high spec projects.
    • Overseeing tight deadlines and budgets.
    • Previous dealings with architects, designers, and project managers – strong communication skills are crucial for collaboration.
    • Understanding the entire operations of the business
    • Regulatory compliance and safety standards – commercial projects require adherence to strict building codes, certifications, and industry standards.
  • Hours: 8 AM – 4 PM, in office only (no WFH)
  • Team size: 5–10 people in the office
  • ASAP start
  • Salary guide $200k+
  • Location: Ryde
  • Own car and license required – expenses will be reimbursed
