Our client, a leading organisation in meat processing, is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join their Maintenance team at their state of the art production facility in Eagle Farm. This position is working on the afternoon shift with a potential for other shift times to be available.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond swiftly to machinery faults or breakdowns, minimising production downtime.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control circuits, sensors, variable speed drives, and electric motors.
  • Install machinery and construct control boards.
  • Work on specialised equipment such as vacuum packaging machines.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication between maintenance and production teams to uphold safety and food quality standards.
  • Take on non-electrical maintenance tasks as required.
  • Collaborate as part of a growing team, working closely with other departments to achieve shared goals.

About You:

  • Trade qualified Electrician with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work methodically under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate across departments.
