Main objectives

The National Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, and leading the internal and external sales teams across ANZ. This role requires strategic planning, market development, and execution of business initiatives to expand market share and meet revenue targets.
    
 
Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate the sales team (State Sales Manager, Account Managers, Key Account Managers, Product Managers), providing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to ensure consistent sales performance
  • Identify and develop new markets and business opportunities in collaboration with Product Managers.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers in sourcing and evaluating business opportunities to achieve company objectives.
  • Responsible for new business development and contract generation.
  • Assist Product Managers manage the product life cycle for Utility, Industry and Process Automation products within the region, ensuring a comprehensive product offering, & pricing
  • Collaborate with State Sales Managers to develop and manage a customer value plan for existing customers, identifying profiles, market share, and growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to the national development of the civil market in partnership with State Sales Managers
  • Develop precise sales forecasts, establish sales targets, and manage budgets to drive profitability.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly sales reports and market insights to senior management.
  • Lead and support State Sales Managers to:
    • Achieve annual sales growth targets within their assigned state.
    • Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with distributors and customers.
    • Identify and pursue business development opportunities across all market segments to expand market share.
    • Guide and support Account Managers and Key Account Managers in their roles.
    • Lead the preparation and presentation of pricing proposals, including tenders and contracts, in coordination with the sales team.

    
Job Requirement, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelors degree in Business/ Commerce or related field
  • Proven track record in sales management within an industrial or piping industry.
  • Strong ability to develop and convert business opportunities. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to unify sales team internally and with other departments.
  • Ability to travel overnight and out of state when required.

Salary guide $160-180k+super+car with scope to grow further with the business.
