About the opportunity
An experienced field-based Estimator is required to inspect damaged properties across Brisbane and prepare accurate scopes and estimates for insurance repair works. The role combines site assessment, construction knowledge, customer interaction and detailed reporting.
Key responsibilities

• Attend residential and light commercial properties to assess damage and required repairs.
• Prepare clear, detailed and accurate scopes of work, estimates and supporting reports.
• Take site measurements, photographs and relevant project information.
• Identify causation-related considerations, access issues, safety risks and specialist requirements.
• Engage subcontractors and suppliers for pricing where required.
• Communicate professionally with policyholders, assessors, insurers and internal delivery teams.
• Review and prepare variations, supplementary scopes and revised costings.
• Ensure all reports and estimates meet client standards, service levels and turnaround times.
• Complete accurate job notes and handovers to supervisors and project teams.

About you

• Proven experience estimating insurance repairs, residential construction, restoration or building maintenance.
• Strong practical knowledge of building methods, trades, materials and repair sequencing.
• Ability to produce detailed scopes and estimates following site inspections.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong time management with the ability to manage a daily inspection schedule.
• Relevant trade, building or estimating qualification is advantageous.
• Current driver licence and willingness to travel throughout Brisbane.
