We are recruiting for an experienced QLD Operations Manager to lead and grow the Queensland operations of a well-established insurance building and repairs business.
This is a senior leadership role suited to someone with strong experience across insurance repairs, remedial building, domestic or commercial construction, and team management. You will take ownership of a high-performing region, lead established teams, manage key client relationships, and drive operational, financial and quality outcomes across the business.

The role
As QLD Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Queensland operation and ensuring jobs are delivered safely, commercially and to a high standard.
You will work closely with internal teams, clients, insurers, subcontractors and key stakeholders to maintain strong relationships, improve operational performance and identify opportunities for further growth.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Queensland operations team
- Oversee insurance repair and remedial building projects across the region
- Ensure construction and repair works comply with NCC requirements, relevant standards and company procedures
- Manage operational performance, job margins, budgets, scopes and variations
- Approve quotes, variations and costings where required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, stakeholders and customers
- Contribute to financial planning, forecasting and operational growth
- Oversee contracts and ensure timely, quality completion of jobs
- Support team morale, performance, training and professional development
- Monitor safety, compliance, quality and site procedures
- Manage implementation of JSAs, SWMS and general operating procedures
- Provide fully costed recommendations for minor capital and asset acquisition proposals
What we are looking for
We are seeking a confident, capable and hands-on operations leader with strong knowledge of the building and construction industry. Experience in insurance repairs, remedial building, estimating, supervision or project delivery will be highly regarded.
Minimum requirements
- Trade Certificate in Carpentry, Domestic Builder Unlimited licence, or ability to qualify
- Construction White Card
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience in building and construction
- Experience as a Site Supervisor, Estimator, Operations Manager, Construction Manager or similar
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, standards, codes and legislation
- Current driver’s licence
- Experience in remedial building or insurance repairs highly regarded

- Strong stakeholder and client relationship management ability
- Experience quoting and managing insurance repair works or similar construction projects
- Ability to manage budgets, margins, scopes and financial performance

- Practical understanding of safety, compliance and quality requirements
