Privately owned reputable National environmental company specialising in Wastewater services that have embraced their continued growth which has now led to them becoming one of the largest and most reputable privately owned and operated sweeping contractors in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the Qld State Manager, this position is located in Rockhampton, the Operations Supervisor will ensure the Rockhampton operations department operates efficiently and that the quality of service exceeds client expectations.
 
Main Responsibilities of the Role

  • Provide support to our operational staff to assist them to deliver service to the highest standard
  • Ensure quality of service delivered exceeds clients expectations
  • Play a leadership role in driving efficiencies and implementing new initiatives
  • Ensure that operators are trained in accordance with standard procedures and benchmarks
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with new and existing customers
  • Manage contracts and agreements
  • Prepare customer quotations and proposals
  • Prepare reports for management as directed
  • Operate a sweeper on a needs basis
  • Monitor and demonstrate Work Health & Safety practises
  • Drive employee performance in the key areas of plant maintenance procedures and work practises.

  
To be successful in this role, you: 

  • Are an experienced and professional supervisor with leadership qualities in an operational environment (minimum 2 years)
  • Be ‘hands on’ with a demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Must have a MR Licence and a Construction Industry White Card
  • Have proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Possess a strong work ethic and customer focus with ability to guide your team to required standards and measurements
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Possess strong time management and prioritising skills 
  • Bring excellent presentation and interpersonal and communication skills
  • Operate with a solution-based approach with a sense of flexibility 
  • Pass a pre-employment medical assessment, drug and alcohol test 

From time-to-time interstate/ travel will be required. 

Salary package includes company car & $’s be negotiated aligned with skills & experience.
