Project Engineer – Reinforced Steel – Contract

The Role
We’re currently seeking a Project Engineer for an immediate contract opportunity on a major data centre project based in Marsden Park, Sydney.

This role is suited to a hands-on PE with strong FRP experience who is confident working closely with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to keep delivery on track. The project has just been awarded and is due to commence within the next 2 weeks, with an initial contract term of 6–9 months and strong potential for extension.

The project involves significant structural concrete works across 2 buildings, with a broader pipeline of additional stages likely to follow.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting delivery of major structural concrete packages including capping beams, crane footings and slabs
• Managing QA and ITPs across active work fronts
• Assisting with temporary works and formwork coordination
• Progress claims, forecasting and budget cross-checking
• Tracking site progress, materials and programme
• Working closely with site teams to support day-to-day delivery
• Coordinating logistics and liaising with engineers and factory teams to ensure materials and components are delivered on time

What we’re looking for:

• 3–5+ years’ experience in a Project Engineer or similar site-based role
• Strong FRP experience is essential
• Background in structural concrete delivery
• Subcontractor experience essential 
• Confident dealing with subcontractors and understanding lower-level site operations
• Experience with QA, ITPs, forecasting and commercial tracking
• Ability to work full-time onsite and support Saturday work where required
• Someone who can initially work alongside the team, then step into the role more independently once settled

The role:

• Based full-time onsite in Marsden Park
• Reporting into the Superintendent and senior project leadership
• Initially supported by an experienced engineer, before taking more ownership of the package
• Immediate start
• 6–9 month contract, with a strong chance of continuing beyond that
• Further project pipeline likely, including additional data centre works and other upcoming projects
