Project Manager- Structural Steel

This is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role with a business that has built a reputation for delivering large-scale structural steel packages across commercial, infrastructure, defence and industrial sectors.

With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across multiple states, they’re now seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a significant structural steel project in Hobart.

The Role

Reporting to a Project Director and working alongside a team of Project Engineers, a Contract Administrator and Site Manager, you’ll take ownership of the project from award through to completion.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating engineering, fabrication and site delivery teams while managing programme, commercial outcomes and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

This role will suit someone who understands the full structural steel process, from design and fabrication through to erection and final handover.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven Project Management experience within structural steel construction
• Tier 1 experience essential 
• Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes
• End-to-end project delivery experience
• Experience managing large and technically complex projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Sound commercial and contractual knowledge
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Proactive approach to planning, problem solving and project delivery
• Experience delivering structural steel packages exceeding 3,000 tonnes will be highly regarded
