Project Manager – Major Loss / Commercial Insurance Works
Brisbane | Hybrid | Full-Time
We’re partnering with a growing business in the insurance restoration space that delivers complex commercial repair and reinstatement projects across Southeast Queensland. With consistent workflow and strong relationships across the insurance sector, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead major loss claims from assessment through to completion.
This role is suited to someone who can take ownership of larger and more complex building repair projects, manage multiple moving parts, and keep clients, insurers, subcontractors, and internal teams aligned throughout the process.
The Role
You will oversee commercial insurance repair and restoration projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations. You’ll manage project planning, stakeholder communication, subcontractor coordination, cost control, and delivery outcomes across a range of major loss jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of commercial insurance repair projects
- Review scopes, reports, estimates, and project documentation prior to commencement
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, assessors, and internal delivery teams
- Attend site inspections and monitor project progress through each phase
- Track budgets, approve variations, and maintain financial control across live jobs
- Build strong working relationships with insurers, clients, and consultants
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with safety, quality, and programme requirements
- Provide clear updates to stakeholders and resolve issues as they arise
- Drive efficient handover and close-out of completed works
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in project management within construction, remedial, insurance, or restoration environments
- Strong understanding of commercial building and repair methodologies
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, subcontractors, and client expectations
- Experience delivering multiple projects at once in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially minded with good problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of insurance claims, reinstatement, or major loss works will be highly regarded
- Relevant construction qualification preferred
