About the role:
In this newly created position of Safety Advisor QLD & NSW, your role will be vital in maintaining the safety and welfare of  employees, visitors, and contractors. You will work closely with temporary employees, host clients, internal staff, and all stakeholders to keep safety a top priority. There are two office locations in Brisbane: Morningside and Brisbane CBD that you can work from and there will also be travel to regional QLD. The travel to NSW will likely be once per month for 2 days. The salary range is $90-100k base + super.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be Employee and Client-facing, working with stakeholders on-site.
  • Provide safety training and education to employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing refresher courses.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety activity.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to address safety concerns and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collate, analyse and report safety information as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.

Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a safety role, ideally within a labour hire company but not essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
