The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of all assigned projects. This includes ensuring that all assigned projects meet Australian Standards, overseeing contractor quality, signing off on completed works, and managing construction programs of works. The role demands a strong focus on
compliance, safety, environmental responsibility, and maintaining high-quality outcomes for customers.
This role requires close coordination with Project Managers to ensure project programs, budgets are achieved.
This position is responsible for the client customer experience and must at all times present themselves in a professional manner. Ensuring a highly efficient coordination of all site activities while maintaining all quality, safety and environmental.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a full understanding of the detailed design and specifications and maintain full knowledge of these during the construction process and ensure that the information is shared with the project team. Develop and review contractor quality management ITP’s and sign-off on completed works.
- Conduct and lead safety/toolbox meetings, discussing OHS, environmental factors, and quality issues each week.
- Continually Inspect works to ensure that they are constructed in accordance with the engineering designs, contract specifications and authority requirements.
- Monitor the progress of construction works and advise project teams and clients of compliance, or otherwise, against project requirements.
- Monitor and Audit all site quality, safety and environmental factors
- Coordination of site logistics, materials, and resource allocation.
- Regularly communicate with the Contract Administrator and Project Manager and provide technical advice to requests for information.
- Manage the processes of the Defects Liability Period to ensure defects are closed.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial construction.
- Proven ability to analyse & interpret building contracts and any other contracts connected with Property Development, Building and Design.
- Current Building licence either unrestricted or minimum 3 stories with willingness to increase.
- Diploma of Building and Construction minimum qualification.
- High level of knowledge and/or exposure to construction design and operation software such as, AutoCAD, Procore Etc.
- Experience in, or knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Experience in, and a clear understanding of Quality, OH&S and Environmental Management systems.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Current Police Check or willing to obtain.
- First Aid certificate.
- Fire Wardan certificate.
- White Card.
- Working with children/aged clearance.
- Senior Safety Officer certification.
Salary guide $130k+ super + car
