The Opportunity:
As a Civil Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of civil projects, leading self-performed crews and subcontractors. Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, allocate, and monitor daily tasks and project progress.
- Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Supervise excavation, trenching, pipelaying, roadworks, drainage, and concrete works.
- Enforce WHS and environmental compliance on site.
- Monitor plant, labour, and materials to control costs and optimise productivity.
- Troubleshoot site issues and ensure quality of works through inspections and QA documentation.
- Liaise with engineers, clients, inspectors, and authorities.
- Mentor and develop site staff, fostering a high-performing team culture.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction or similar and ideally you will have training in H&S
- Proven experience supervising civil construction projects ideally with a pipelaying and/or an operating background
- Able to meet program, productivity levels and maintain work with an assigned budget
- Be a champion of health and safety on site and help drive this culture
